Message from Pastor Jesse - Received Nov. 3  Things are going well here. We have been meeting with a lot of key people of different ministries in Davao and catching the vision of what they see God doing in this city. We've also been braving the shops trying to find supplies and lumber for the couple of work projects we are going to do... quite an experience. Hope all is well. Talk to you later.   Jesse

Message from Pastor Jesse - Received Nov. 9
Things have been going well. We are now roughing it in the dorms at Hope Mountain. Cold showers, goats and chickens running around and spiders (Julie has some stories to tell). Tim and Gloria have been keeping us busy running from meeting to meeting and place to place trying to show us a vision of how God can use the people of First Baptist here in Davao. I will be preaching in a tribal church this Sunday... they are telling me I might have to duck because the church is just small building with dirt floors. So far is has been a good trip, everyone is staying healthy and we are starting to catch a glimpse of how God might use us here. God Bless.  Jesse

Received from Pastor Jesse - November 16  "Things are drawing to a close and we are packing and getting ready to head home. It has been a great trip and we are excited to share with you all the things God is doing in this country. This last week I had the opportunity to preach in a tribal church and it went very well (thank you for your prayers). We arrived and had to walk through the jungle to get to the village. It had rained the night before and the dirt floor of the church had turned to mud. It was very powerful to see how these people with so little would still give their all to love and serve Christ. Last night the pastors of Davao and the staff of Hope Mountain threw us a party to send us home. It is amazing how close we got to these people is such a short time, it made saying goodbye hard. There was a lot of singing and some dancing as the pastors and staff sent their blessing with us back to First Baptist. We accomplished a lot on this trip and the people are already looking forward to the next team we will be sending in January. Please pray for our traveling safety as we start the long trip home."  Jesse
